New Teams Coming to the Las Vegas Valley
08/12/2016

The National Hockey League (NHL) approved an expansion team for the Las Vegas Valley to begin in the 2017-2018 season. The Las Vegas Outlaws are an amusing addition to Southern Nevada and promise to bring new business and tourism opportunities. The Outlaws are the first professional sports franchise to come to Las Vegas, which means residents and hockey fans from all over will finally be able to enjoy a pro game in the Entertainment Capital of the World.

There is also speculation of a National Football League (NFL) team coming to the area. Mark Davis, the owner of the Oakland Raiders, has expressed a desire to move the team to Las Vegas if the community approves and builds a stadium. In the meantime, Davis is working on gaining support within local schools and charities to help foster a local fan base. All in all Las Vegas is experiencing some exciting new changes that will inevitably bring diversity to the economy and fun for the whole family.
