This year has proven a notable year to visit Las Vegas. So far, 2016 has crushed its previous record for tourism. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) just announced a record high year for tourism with the April tourism figures coming up at 3.54 million visitors. The tourism in Southern Nevada has seen a 2.9 percent increase from last year and experts say it could hit a whopping 42.5 million visitors by the end on the year.
The increase in tourism means the need for more rooms making Resort World a welcome addition. Resorts World received key regulatory approval from gaming officials for the $4 billion project, now they plan on opening to the public in 2019, with construction beginning at the end of 2016. A key feature of Resort World is a “celestial sphere” feature that will appear in the front entrance atrium to display selfies from guests and will include a beautiful Chinese garden. Resort World will bring thousands of new rooms, a new casino, and will create thousands of new jobs.
